Holidays and Apples to Apples

We just completed another fantastic Christmas get-together, and I have to say I had a blast. So much so that I slept for a record 9hrs straight afterwards! All of our favorite people stopped in late yesterday afternoon and had a great time, opening gifts and catching up with lots of conversation. We were all pretty stuffed after my wife dazzled us with her massive array of awesome pre-dinner goodies (thanks to everyone else who brought yummies as well) but I left just enough room for turkey, ham and stuffing just to name a few. So much food is leftover it’ll take a week to eat it all, but I guess someone has to do it :)

Probably the best time of all was had when we broke open our newest game: Apples to Apples. If you’ve never played it I suggest you do, since it is unbelievably fun. Everyone was cracking up at some of the cards played, and I think my cheeks are still sore from smiling and laughing so much. Unfortunately, your humble narrator didn’t win a single game this year (although I did dominate last years gaming for the record) but I had a ton of fun and can’t wait for the next opportunity to have everyone over to play again! Good times!
