Turn based Strategy Games?

Anyone know of any free turn base strategy games that are like chess? I know there is Zatikon and Shogi but i was wondering if there were any others that you guys had heard of.

there are lots of turn-based strategy games like Carcassonne and Othello that are non-Chess based, but try this page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chess_variants) for a huge list of Chess variants. And don't forget Battle Chess from back in the day!
