Craftsman Truck Race

This weekend my hubby (chessandpoker) and I got to go to our second Craftsman Truck race, and it was so much fun. We got to go to the O'Reilly Auto Parts 250,and see Erik Darnell get his first win. :) I can't wait for September we have tickets for the Busch race and Nextel Cup race too!

That was definitely cool, except for my sunburn and lack of sleep :) almost as cool, but not quite, as when we saw Mark Martin come from behind to win the first ever truck race at Talladega last year. If I remember right, he blew a tire early and got behind with the entire field catching up to him pretty quickly since he didn't have a drafting partner and it looked like he'd be lapped. but he was so strong he "led" (stayed in front) of all of them even though he was technically in last place until a caution came out and he got to catch up to the back of the field. amazingly, in a very short period of time, he had worked his way up to like 6th with less than 10 laps to go. someone had a scanner in front of us and they heard Mark say on his radio that he didn't come this far to finish anywhere but 1st. then he drove past everyone for the win :cool:
