Hi,
Is there a way to flip just one of the edges at step seven. Both of the algorithms solve for 2 edges flipped. Twice I have got stuck with just 1 edge flipped. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong. Thanks

Hi rm1bow welcome! :)

Having just one unsolved edge is an impossible position for the Rubiks Cube for step #7, since edges in the last layer must be solved two at a time according to the rules of the cube (symmetry). However, you can sometimes have weird configurations resulting from a cube if you've taken it apart and put it back together incorrectly at some point. Could you post a picture of your cube showing the single unsolved edge?

That could be the problem. I used a tip from another site and removed some of the columns to put on some Vaseline, which made it alot smoother. But I did not think about putting them back on wrong. Here's a pic. Thanks

yes, that's what happened! just pop that edge cubie out and put it back in correctly and the solution will work as planned the next time you solve the Rubik's cube :)
